We Believe...

The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, verbally inspired of God, without errancy in the original writings, and that it is the complete revelation of His will for salvation, the final and supreme authority in faith and life. (1 Cor. 2:12-13; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; John 14:16-18; Eph. 3: 16-19; Rom. 8: 11-16).

There is only one God and He is infinite, perfect and eternally co-existing in three persons as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:15-17; 28:18-19; John 15:26; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 4:4-6; 1 John 5:7-9).

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, whose name was Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and for that reason He is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, the only begotten from the Father (Isa. 7:14; Luke 1:35; 2:7,11,52; John 1:1-2,14).

Man was created in the image of God. He sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that human beings are born with a sinful nature (Gen. 1:26; 3:1-7; Rom. 3:22-23; 5:12; Eph.2:12).

Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood (Rom. 3:24-25; Eph 1:7; 1 Pet. 1: 18-19; 2:24; 3:18).

The crucified body of the Lord was resurrected, and He ascended into Heaven, and He is presently our High Priest and Advocate (Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor 15:3-4; Heb.7:25; 9:24; 1 Pet. 1:3-5; 1 John 2:1-2).

The Holy Spirit is the 'Convicter', bringing regeneration and renewal to believers in Jesus Christ, the 'Comforter' that makes the presence of Jesus Christ real in believers and the 'Teacher/Counselor' Who enables them to live in a manner that honors God (Titus 3:4- 7; John 7:37-39; John 14:16-18; Eph. 3:16-19; Rom. 8:11-16).

All who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are born again of the Holy Spirit, indwelt by the Holy Spirit and by the Holy Spirit are baptized into the body of Christ, the church, of which He is the risen and ascended Head (1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 1: 13- 14, 22-23-1 2-8-10; Col. 1:18).

Baptism and The Lord's Supper were two symbolic practices left for us to follow. Baptism SHOWS one's faith in Christ; not saving, but testifiying that the person is trusting Christ for eternal life. The Lord's Supper is a public declaration of Christ's death, a memorial service by believers, a symbolic representation of life IN Christ, practiced regularly and until Christ's return (Acts2:38-41; 8:36-38 ; Rom 6:4; Eph. 4:5; Col. 2:12 & Matt. 26:26-28; Acts 2:42; 1 Cor. 11:24-26)

There will be a bodily resurrection of the just and unjust unto the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (Mk 9:43-48; Rev. 20:15; 22:3-5,11).

The church, who's head is Jesus Christ, is the local expression of Christ's body, existing to evangelize the unbelieving and edify believers, and that only with this active involvement, can the believer fully develop in Christian maturity. (Acts 1:8; 2:42-27; 1 Cor. 11:1-3; 12:12-26; Eph. 2:19-22; 4:11-16; Col 3:16; Heb. 10:24-25)
